" - so there could be a smaller version, less capable than the Varicam 35, below the HS coming. I doubt they'll replace the AU-V35C1 Super 35 4K camera head. That would seriously upset a lot of people and since it works with the recording module, which comes with the Varicam in a package and not sold separately, unless you damage one, then it's even more doubtful. moviejungle.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00558116300342610482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2192103497046463956.post-61005132148871125292015-11-29T14:27:04.508-08:002015-11-29T14:27:04.508-08:00What a great comparison. Ideally I would want both, one to beautiful daylight motion like shots, and the other for creative night scenes. Given that the slog does still give some leniency, I am leaning towards the a7s2 simply because it gives me more creative options, though I am wondering if it up for the task of making an independent film.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02331431673616220011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2192103497046463956.post-80313073515753777022015-11-25T11:00:57.834-08:002015-11-25T11:00:57.834-08:00...the 4K sensor seems to produce a much more cine......the 4K sensor seems to produce a much more cinematic picture. The Mini gets supposedly to 15 in the 4.6K version, which has a rolling shutter. Improvement.

2) Bitrate, most being 8 bit. The Mini gets to 10-bit, as all BMs I know. Improvement.

3) Internal ND filtering. External on all DSLRs and also on the Mini. No improvement.

4) Mic audio input. Mini 1/8" stereo socket and one XLR on hte Mini. Half improvement (?)

5) Weight. DSLRs are light, but the Mini is not that light. No improvement.

There are the most obvious ones. Many claim the FS7 is the best deal. but strangely they tag it as an ENG or documentary camera. ButCarlmarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15503127112001935562noreply@blogger.com
